Stable Minimal Hypersurfaces: Regularity and Compactness

报告摘要We will discuss regularity and compactness properties of stable minimal hypersurfaces. The talk will cover the basic definitions of varifolds, present various classical regularity results, and explain dimension-reduction arguments. In particular, we will outline the proof of the Schoen–Simon regularity theorem and present a recent regularity result, which builds on new techniques introduced by Bellettini.

报告学者简介:王高明,本科毕业于清华大学,博士毕业于香港中文大学,曾在康奈尔大学及清华大学丘成桐数学科学中心从事博士后研究工作,现为北京雁栖湖应用数学研究院(BIMSA)担任助理研究员。其主要研究方向涵盖黎曼几何、几何分析及几何偏微分方程等领域。主要成果发表在JFA, TAMS, CVPDE等著名杂志上。
